The boyfriend and I have our first NYC apartment! I’ve been subletting since I moved here and even though it was nice place to set up base for a few months, it definitely lacked a personal touch. So when it came to finding an apartment of our own, we wanted to make sure that it was a place we could call home for the next year or two.
Well I scoured the city, trolled Craigslist, and scoped out a dozen apartments during my search. And just when I started to lose hope, I found this gem: a fourth floor walk-up in Gramercy with new renovations, great living space, and two amazing closets (well … for NYC). From the search, to the application, to the fees and deposits — it’s been an exhausting process. But now that’s behind us, we get to focus on making this apartment and this city our home!
Yay for your new apartment! I’m sure you’ll have no trouble filling up that closet!

Also searching for my first N.Y. apt. How did u find this one exactly?
Hi Bee! I started by browsing Craiglist, which led me to a broker. That’s the expensive route, but I’m in love with my apartment! Feel free to email me if you have more questions. Good luck with your hunt! x
