style formula: stripes + floral.

Skirt The Rules Blog; NYC fashion blogger; style blog; spring outfit collages; how to wear striped shirts and floral dresses; Old Navy Lightweight striped tanks; ModCloth Ikebana for All yellow floral skirt; J.Crew Factory floral printed pencil skirt in stretch cotton; Dorothy Perkins gray floral skirt

Today, I thought I’d share another one of my fail proof style formulas: stripes and florals.  I’ve been wearing this combo a lot lately (last seen here and here) and as you know, when I find something I love, I stick to it!  If you’ve been wanting to get into mixed prints, this is definitely the playful pairing to get you started.  Take any thin-striped top (like this) and pair with different floral prints for a variety of summer savvy looks.

1. ModCloth Ikebana For All Skirt — $69.99
2. J.Crew Factory Printed Pencil Skirt — $85
3. Dorothy Perkins Floral Prom Skirt — $35 (on sale!)
